A Man Named Jose

Jose joined Henderson Coffee over 10 years ago and was soon roasting our coffees. The best way to describe Jose's style is a little bit art and a little bit science. Jose can analyze the green coffees, taste test with the best, utilize the color measuring equipment, and know with certainty the particle size distribution of the grind. The art is that he can tell us the coffee quality by looking at it as it pours out of the burlap bag and the aroma it creates during the roasting process. Jose hand craft roasts batches as small as 2 lbs/roast for various specialty coffees up to batches of 600 lbs per batch on some of our most popular coffees.
